HARRISON AUDITORIUM RENOVATIONHarrison Auditorium was built in 1939. Since it was built there have been no major renovations or modifications. The original building had no accommodations for handicapped people. This renovation and addition to Harrison Auditorium has incorporated the following features: The seating capacity has been increased to 908 seats, Features added to the building such as elevators, handicap seating, restrooms, and entrances and exits make the building ADA compliant, the stage has been enlarged and is accessible from the house seating areas, a new state of the art audio visual system has been installed, new stage lighting and controls have been installed, the heating and air conditioning system was completely redone to assure the comfort of people who attend performances, two large dressing rooms have been installed so that cast members of productions have a place to dress and prepare for performances, a mezzanine and patio have been incorporated into the building design to give theatre goers a place to meet before during and after performances, and all life safety systems have been upgraded to meet the latest building codes.
